I think that bees are sort of beautiful, in a way. They are just so small and delicate and I like to watch them close up, on a T.V. screen. I would do it in real life, but I'm afraid that it will sting me. I like the black and yellow stripes that cover the little bodies. And, up close, I'm sure that the wings are so thin and fragile, you could barely see them.
I also think that a bee's nest is pretty cool looking. Although not necssesarily beautiful. The detail that is in the little holes covering it is pretty amazing. The hard work that the bees must put into making those houses! Only to have us knock them down or spray them. Oh well, they are cool while they last.

The family vacation that I'm going to write about is when I went to Mexico with my family when I was in first grade. We flew there on a plane and met my Grandpa (who was living there at the time, with my Grandma) at the airport. He drove us to their little house. It was late at night, so we just went to sleep when we got there, but in the morning we were amazed. It was Christmas time, and it was blazing hot outside. We even had a Piniata on the little cement patio in the back yard. I remember playing with all the little Mexican toys that my Grandparents had.
A few days later, we went to the beach and jumped in the waves and had a picnic. I remember that my dad took my little brother way out into the water and was splashing him around. I was scared to go in any deeper than my ankles, because I was afraid of sharks. Me and my cousins would run along the beach with our towels flying behind us. It was a great vacation, and hope to go there again someday.

When I was little, my brothers and sisters and I used to pile onto the couch with my dad in the middle, and he would either read us a story or make up one out of his head. We used to love to do this, and now, when he does it with my younger brothers and sisters I still like to listen sometimes. Since I was read to a lot, and in my younger elementary years, I was a good reader and read a lot of books, I LOVE to read now! I always have my nose stuck in a book, even if it is a book that I've read a million times before.
My favorite stories when I was in 2nd and 3rd grade were Junie B. Jones and things like that. But now, my favorites are the Harry Potter books, the Goose Girl series, and the Anne of Green Gables series. I think that it is very important that little kids are read to so that they can develop a love for reading when they are young, because then when they get older, they will be really smart and always have something to do- read!

The best book I've ever read was Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone, the first book in the Harry Potter series. I really liked it because since it's the first book in the series, I was just getting introduced to all the characters and to what was going on. If the 5th one would have been the first one, it would have been my favorite, too. Of course, I like all of the books a ton.
The basic layout of the story is: Harry lives with his aunt and uncle, not knowing he's a wizard. He finds out, goes to Hogwarts, and learns all about his past. Then, Voldemort tries to steal the Sorcerers Stone so that he can return to power and kill Harry. Harry has to stop him. The book just hooked me on the very first page, and I didn't put it down until I was finished. I did that with all of the books.

If you had one superpower, what would it be and why?

If I had a super power, I would like to be able to snap, and whatever I wanted would happen! Then, I would never have to drive long distances again, because I could just snap and I would be there. Also, I would never have to do any chores ever again because if I had to make my bed or someting, I could just snap and it would be done! I'd have to be thinking about it to make it happen, so that I wouldn't be snapping and all of a sudden appearing in a random place.
Of course, I would never use it for bad, only for good. I don't think that I'd go around fighting crime or anything, I'd just use it for fun. I'd give myself limits to what I could do with it though, like, I wouldn't go around snapping and wishing that I had some money, because that would be like stealing. Sort of.
